The Nerd Olympics 2007, cont.
The Champions
The Street Fighter II tournament brought about a great upset. Weskimo and I were usurped by Limey.
Chess, a hard fought battle eventually gave Andrew bronze, Quaid silver, and DMUSER the gold.
Once again, I found myself robbed of a decent medal, this time in TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. I have no idea who Leigh's partner was, but they were probably a cheater.
As always, Magic was the most sought medal at Nerd Olympics. This year's tournament lasted long into the night, so much so that no one I know wanted to play Magic again for weeks afterwards. The victor, Doug, fell into a deep sleep immediately after winning.

RISK was finally played in a proper fashion at Nerd Olympics this year.
Tetris, the winners being Doug, Nicholas Picholas, and Brentor.

Halo 2 champs, I wouldn't be surprised if these were the only people who bothered to compete.
These are the Goldeneye winners, this will likely be the last year that Goldeneye will be played at Nerd Olympics, it will be missed by no one but the three people you see here.
We did two Magic events this year, these are the winners from our Two-Headed Giant competition.
Post-Game Show
Sometimes, sacrifices must be made. This year, a wall was offered up in an effort to appease the gods by Doug and Brentor. Their efforts paid off, and the wall rewarded them with many medals.
The three overall winners this year were me, Newbs, in third, Nicholas Picholas in second, and a new champion, Weskimo, in first.

After the medal ceremony, several special awards were handed out to those who deserved extra mention at this, the third Olympiad of the Nerds. Unfortunately, the scan of the official document would be unreadable if I resized it, so I shall recreate the list.

Nerd Olympics has improved every year that it has been hosted, and 2007 was no exception.
