A common topic amongst the gaming community lately is of Electronic Arts buying out and brutally raping every game developer on the planet. Now, I tend to get instantly angry every time a company gains any power when it comes to games, because I basically view everybody as an enemy of my Nintendo. I've hated EA along with everybody else for quite awhile, but there movements hadn't been directly affecting me. Just a few days ago, however, they committed upon one of the most obscene and offensive atrocities ever to befall my gaming career.
It wasn't that they devoured another young, innovative game company, or even forced Maxis to pump out another add-on for "The Sims." No, this was more a quiet sneak attack, stabbing at me when I least expected it.
