January 16, 2006 - Newbs - Drop the Meaningless Manners
I recently had one of the most unexpected social encounters of my life. As I always do, I got on the bus one particular morning, heard the bus driver mumble something at me, grunted back at him, and took my seat. Since I was sitting at the back of the bus, I happened to be the last person off this bus when we arrived at the Transit Station. As I was getting off, the bus driver said "excuse me," I turned around and he proclaimed "when someone says good morning to you, you say good morning back!" Apparently, the bus driver had welcomed me onto his bus with a "good morning" several minutes earlier, but being the sleep deprived, socially mal-adjusted bastard that I am, I paid no attention. I have come to the conclusion that the anger felt by the bus driver over my apparent rudeness, as well as my own anxiety caused by his confronting me could have both been easily avoided, if only society would do away with all of these so called "niceties."

January 16, 2006 - Newbs - Extracurricular
As some of you may know, I have taken to occasionally writing for my University's student paper The Gateway. Since I'm able to do what I want with the articles I write for them after a certain amount of time, I'm also going to be posting them here. They'll go in the all new section called Extracurricular, because it's a disgustingly long word and I can't think of a better one.

January 11, 2006 - DMUSER - Why does it have to be so early?
The goal today was for me to post a game review, and I was on track with this until yesterday. I worked an 18 hour day, then got 3 hours of sleep, and now I'm about to go back to work for a who-knows-how-fucking long day; topped off with a First Aid course from 7-10 tonight.

Well this is the first real update of the Shufflingdead V10.0. Let's hope that all will be fully functional soon. I may even figure out a way to get Quicktime to stop rendering my fucking videos so they always end up at 40Mb no matter the settings. Hopefully for the next one. Until then...DIALUP FUCKOFF AND DIE.

I have recently been perusing the Star Trek universe. Most specifically Enterprise.
Now having originally seen about half of the first season when it started in back in 2001, and just coming off of Voyager and DS9, I realized it for what it was -- Unmitigated Shit. That's with capitals.

Welcome to Version 10 of what is now called shufflingdead.com. I'll be learning how to use this content management program as I go, I figure that that'll pretty much be the most chaotic and fun way to go about things.
