Shufflingdead > Archives

May 30, 2005

During one of the very earliest of my webmastery days, I read this Zelda fan site where the girl who ran it made a comment about her site being "over a hundred pages," she seemed very proud of the fact. I was flabbergasted of course, my site was maybe five pages, and I couldn't even fathom the time and energy required to reach a hundred pages.

Well, over the last few days, I took the ultimate plunge and (you’re not going to believe this) fixed the entirety of the archives. Maybe it doesn’t make for the most exciting of reading material, but seriously, how long have I been saying I’d do it? Two years at least.

Now, my final solution for fixing the archives was to construct a great spreadsheet, mapping out the entire site and giving myself quick access to the address of all the pages of the site. Thanks to that, I was able to determine that this site is well over 200 pages, a shocking realization. Not only that, but I actually found a couple "lost" articles. Those being articles that were sitting right where they were supposed to be, but weren’t being linked to from anywhere. They were this ancient DDR review from DMUSER, and an odd rant I made about some kids I went to high school with.
