Copyright protection
Do you know what I hate? When I legally purchase a game, which I then install, and try to run. Just to find out that the copy protection that is supposed to "protect" the game from illegal users actually prevents me from loading the game.
At which point I have to download an illegal crack in order to play my legal game, with the legal CD in the drive.
There are a number of class action lawsuits going on against various companies that use copyright protection software that then voids the players abilities to play the game legally. I'm hoping that they're all successful so that the copy protection racket can finally tumble like a house of cards.
There has to be a better damned solution.
